Controlling the appearance and rendering of sweeps is carried out in the TYPE PROPERTIES of the wall that hosts the sweep.

Select SWEEPS brings up WALL SWEEPS dialogue |
Pick the sweep profile and in the material column pick to bring up the material editor.
Pick the image and edit this to rotate as required.
Also do the same RELEIF PATTERN
Why on earth is it so complicated. Hopefully the 2014 material editor changes will simplify the process.
